| A wildcard is a symbol that represents any character(s). Wildcards are used to filter files and folders by name. The most two common wildcards are the asterisk and the question mark. Wildcards are powerful because they can be used to include or exclude files (or folders) that have similar names (or extension). Un comodín es un símbolo que representa cualquier letra(s). | A question mark can be used to represent one number or letter. This number or letter can be any number or letter. A wildcard in Sync Lab is similar to a wildcard in a card game; that is a question mark can be used to represent any character making possible to include or exclude several files or folder at the same time. | You may use the Include/Exclude option as shown below to specify the folders and files that you would like to include or exclude in the synchronization. Remember that you can use the asterisk and the question mark wildcards to include or exclude folder and files. The figure below shows a typical configuration. In this case the *.* filter includes all files except desktop.ini and Thumbs.db. |
